The Task Force meeting discussed the Commissions’ public consultation on the role of publishers in the copyright value chain, which was running from 23 March to 15 June 2016. More specifically, the discussion focused on the possible impact an introduction of a new neighbouring right for the publishing industry at the European level would have on creators, publishers, platforms, and citizens.
