Despite pressure from the Russian Federation and criticism from the UNM opposition party, Georgia is confident that it will initial an Association Agreement with the EU at next month’s Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius, heard participants at this Policy Dialogue with Alex Petriashvili, State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration; David Darchiashvili, Member of Parliament for the United National Movement; HE Vaidotas Verba, Coordinator for the Eastern Partnership, Lithuania; Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck, Member of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, European Parliament; and Chris Kendall, Team Leader for the South Caucasus, EEAS.
