The policy dialogue looked at the European Commission’s recent Communication on the ‘Next steps for a sustainable European future’. In 2015, world leaders adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development with 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 associated targets. During this policy dialogue, a panel of experts explored the opportunities and challenges involved in implementing the SDGs in Europe, the extent to which EU policies are already contributing to this aim and what more can be done.
