On 19 May 2015, the Commission published the Better Regulation Package, a comprehensive set of measures that aims to ensure that EU policy is designed in such a way that it is effective, efficient and prepared in in open and transparent manner, engaging the public and all stakeholders from start to finish. In the same week, Commissioner for Better Regulation, Interinstitutional Relations, the Rule of Law and the Charter of Fundamental Rights and First Vice-President, Frans Timmermans, spoke at an EPC Policy Briefing where he presented the key aspects of the package and discussed some of its concrete measures.
