The telecoms framework review - What implications for consumers and businesses?

EVENT
Thursday, 17 November 2016

The Commission’s proposal for a Directive establishing the European Electronic Communications Code as part of its proposed connectivity package, represents a substantial revision and comes at a critical time for both industry and consumers. Following some rushed attempted changes in 2013, the Commission appears to have put forward a set of well thought-out and integrated proposals. In order to examine the proposal in more detail, the EPC brought together a panel of industry experts and policy makers to provide some initial thoughts and to assess whether the measures fully address industry and consumer concerns.

Speakers included: Fabio Colasanti, Senior advisor, European Policy Centre (EPC), Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, Member of the European Parliament, Guillermo Beltrà, Head of Legal and Economic Department, BEUC, Markus Reinisch, Public Policy Director, Vodafone, Thomas Myrup Kristensen, Managing Director EU Affairs and Head of Office Brussels, Facebook, Lise Fuhr, Director-General, ETNO, Peter Eberl, European Commission’s DG Connect
