EVENT
Thursday, 30 January 2014

The proposed Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is unprecedented in scope and ambition. When concluded, the TTIP will become the world’s largest free trade pact. Charles Ries, a former senior U.S. diplomat with over 30 years of experience in trade negotiations, and Hugo Paemen, previously the EU’s Chief Negotiator during the Uruguay trade talks, got together to discuss existing regulatory barriers and the process of negotiating and concluding TTIP. The discussion reviewed the challenging areas of regulatory divergence and convergence for TTIP.
