Michele Migliori is a visiting scholar within the SEWB programme. He is completing a PhD at the Universities of Verona and Bologna with a project on the Legal Health Preparedness in Europe, with a specific focus on the role of the new authority HERA. 

His interests also focus on defence policies and the enlargement of the Union to the Western Balkans.
Michele holds a master's degree with distinction in law from the University of Bologna - Alma Mater Studiorum and in 2024 conducted a 6-month research period at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. 

He has always been involved in national politics and has held political office in one of Italy's most representative political parties. He also served on the election committees of municipal councillors, Italian MPs and MEPs. In the last regional elections, he acted as spin doctor for the election campaign of an elected regional deputy.
