Zack Nhan
Programme Assistant
Zack Nhan is a Programme Assistant in the Connecting Europe Programme. Before joining the EPC, he completed a Bluebook traineeship with the Directorate-General for the Environment (DG ENV) at the European Commission in Brussels. Prior to that, he served as a research assistant intern at the ISDP’s Stockholm China Centre in the spring of 2022.
He holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the Hertie School in Berlin, Germany, where he specialized in Security & Sustainability Policies. He also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations with a minor in Human Ecology from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. As part of his undergraduate studies, he spent two exchange semesters at Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and completed a six-month internship at the Embassy of Sweden in Manila, Philippines.
His research interests include international politics, environmental and climate policies, and EU affairs, with a particular focus on the intersection of democratic participation, democratic backsliding, and just green transition in a European context
