Samuel Goodger
AI Policy Fellow in the Social Europe and Wellbeing programme
Samuel Goodger is an AI Policy Fellow in the Social Europe and Wellbeing programme. He works on events, policy papers, and projects related to artificial intelligence and its implications for healthcare, education, skills, and labour policy.
Before joining the EPC, under the Talos AI Fellowship, he completed an internship in a consultancy, monitoring policy developments across various areas including digital, health and energy. Prior to that, he was a Schuman Trainee in the European Parliament’s Directorate for Internal Policies, where he conducted research for the Employment and Social Affairs Committee. During his time at the European Parliament, he co-authored and published a paper on The situation of young carers in Europe.
He holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he focused on the EU, digital, and labour policies. His dissertation examined the potential effects of generative AI on skill needs and labour demand in the Italian labour market. He also holds a BSc in International Relations from the University of Bologna and has studied abroad in Mexico, Argentina, and France.
