Svitlana Taran
Research Fellow
Svitlana Taran is a Fellow in the Europe in the World Programme at the European Policy Centre. Svitlana is a trade policy consultant and head of Trade+, International Trade Research Center at Kyiv School of Economics. In 2018-2019, she completed the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program in Economic Development at Boston University. In 2016-2018, Svitlana worked in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. Svitlana holds an MA in Economics from Economic Education and Research Consortium (EERC) /Kyiv School of Economics. Her research interests include European economic integration, international trade, trade policy, trade sanctions, free trade agreements, non-tariff barriers to trade.

As a Fellow at EPC, Svitlana conducts policy research and develops policy recommendations for liberalising EU-Ukraine trade and advancing sectoral integration after Ukraine’s EU membership application, increasing the resilience of Ukraine’s economy and preparing Ukraine for EU membership.
